Safe & Secure is a practical guide that helps families plan for a meaningful and secure future for a loved one with a disability. It provides seven key steps, combining actionable strategies with real-life stories from families across Ontario.
The book emphasizes:
- Thinking creatively about challenges
- Planning for independence and meaningful connections
- Building financial and legal security
- Advocating effectively and empathetically
Each step includes exercises, discussion prompts, and practical tips families can apply at home.
What to Expect During the Book Club

- Community Sharing: Connect with other families, share experiences, and ask questions
